Listed below are select Green Market Fundraising Partner Organizations. We have donation partners which accept donated bulbs for purposes of providing to low-income communities. In addition, we have content and recycling partners that provide information regarding energy efficiency, recycling and sustainability.
Donation Partners
GMF partners with organizations to facilitate the donation of CFL bulbs to low-income groups in the U.S. (and eventually on an international basis). We work with Habitat for Humanity and The Center for Neighborhood Technology to provide energy efficient lighting to their constituencies.
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Specifically, GMF works with HFHI to donate bulbs to new housing for the Lafayette, IN chapter of HFHI.
Center for Neighborhood Technology www.cnt.org
The Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT) promotes the development of more livable and sustainable communities. We strive to recognize, preserve, and enhance the value of hidden assets and undervalued resources inherent in our urban environment to make households, neighborhoods, and regions more efficient, more economically viable, and more equitable.
Donations made to CNT by groups working with Green Market Fundraising will be used towards the purchase of CFLs for low-income housing and non-profit organizations within Chicago.
